Each home is unique to each family. We design custom joinery around how you live — not a set of standard sizes and colours.
From the start, the design is about what you need in the room. We listen for lifestyle and family requirements that change the layout, and for anything specific that has to fit in the cabinetry.
Before installation you see a 3D visual of the joinery, so the decisions are clear. If colours, materials, finishes and profiles feel like a lot, a colour consultant helps you choose what belongs in your home.
When the work begins we coordinate the trades — electricians, plumbers, tilers and more. Clients often tell us the tradespeople are friendly, helpful and leave the site clean.
Joe opened the business in 1989 to manufacture and install custom kitchens. The team is now more than ten people, working on kitchens and whole-home joinery.

Joe Cassar
Director, HIA Certified Designer
Joe started Artistic Kitchens in 1989 to manufacture and install custom kitchens. He has more than 35 years in cabinetry and home renovations.
He has judged HIA Kitchen of the Year, Bathroom of the Year, Kitchen Design and Bathroom Design for 16 years. Joe visits your home more than once so the design matches how you actually live.
Dean
Productions Manager / CAD
Dean has more than 20 years in cabinetmaking, including on-site work. He knows how to craft joinery so it functions in a real home.
He works closely with the factory so what is built matches the design in the system.
Danielle
Project Manager / Colour Consultant
Danielle coordinates scheduling and trades around each household’s time, and keeps communication clear so the work stays on track.
She works with Joe’s designs to help you choose colours, materials and finishes, and to walk you through the products that suit the room.
Tradesmen
Our cabinetmakers have been with Artistic for 10 to 20 years. They build in-house and install on site, and they keep up with new hardware, trends and styles.
